AI content checker

Paste a text and get an estimate of how AI-generated it reads, along with the exact signals behind the score. Built to be honest: detectors are unreliable, so this one shows its work.

Honesty first: no AI detector is reliable, including this one. Scores are stylistic estimates. Never use any detector to accuse a person or make decisions about students, writers, or employees.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are AI content detectors?

Not very, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. Independent studies show every detector produces false positives on human writing (especially from non-native English speakers) and false negatives on lightly edited AI text. This tool shows its reasoning and hedges its verdicts on purpose.

How does this checker work?

It analyzes stylistic signals: sentence rhythm, hedging patterns, generic transitions, presence or absence of first-hand specifics, and tone consistency. It then reports which signals it observed on each side, so you can judge the evidence yourself instead of trusting a bare number.

Can I use this to check student or employee work?

Please do not use any AI detector, including this one, to accuse or penalize a person. False positives are common enough that detector scores are not evidence. They are useful for auditing your own content pipeline, not for judging people.

Does Google penalize AI content?

Google says it rewards helpful content regardless of how it is produced and penalizes content made primarily to manipulate rankings. In practice, unedited bulk AI content tends to perform poorly because it is generic, not because it is detected as AI.
